Happy Star Wars Day and 10th Anniversary

Today, and since 2011, the Star Wars day is celebrated the 4th of May all around the world. With the awakening of the saga in 2015 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first in more than a decade, this event was consolidated and became even more relevant. But why this day?

The reason to choose this day is because in May 4, 1979, when Margaret Thatcher took office as Prime Minister of the UK, a Danish public broadcaster placed a congratulatory advertisement saying “May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations”. Obviously he was referencing the popular Star Wars phrase “May the Force Be With You”.

Later, in May 4, 2011, in Toronto (Canada), a celebration was organized for the first time around Star Wars with festivities that included a costume contest with celebrity judges, mash-ups, parodies, remixes and more. From that moment on, the Star Wars Day has been gaining popularity among fans, and it is now celebrated annually worldwide.

In 2012 Disney acquired LucasFilm and took control of Star Wars. Since then the company of Mickey Mouse has not stopped releasing movies, merchandising merchandising and even a series completely up to the standard of the films. Thanks to this the new generations have connected again with this saga and the event is more alive than ever.

To celebrate the 10th annivesary of this event here I leave a Would You Rather game video about Star Wars in which you will have to choose one of the possible choices you are given in its question, even if it is hard the decision. Enjoy the music as well, I personally love it. Play it!
