Train and railway simulator games are a popular niche in gaming industry. But despite this they are not that well known for the general public. And that is why I write this post to publicize the games of this genre that I like the most and in general to fans of this genre.
These games generally let you be the manager of a railroad company and let you construct rail-roads and simulate that you are driving a real train. But some are so sophisticated that they let you also manage train schedules, transport passengers and mail, construct buildings, and even manipulate the stock market. You can even own industrial companies and transport goods between different cities. Basically, in these games you are responsible for every little detail in your company.
